Nemesis Sword is the second exercise of the 1 (German/Netherlands) Corps since its deployment to Afghanistan and return in March 2010. The 1 (German/Netherlands) Corps is also able to act as a trainer for divisions or brigade-sized units.

The Command Post exercise (CPX) Nemesis Sword is a perfect example of that capability. From 18 to 31 October 2010, about 2,500 participants sharpened their skills on a combined and joint UN-mandated, NATO-led, expeditionary Peace Support Operation (PSO).
