From 7 to 18 November 2011, joint and combined Commend Post Exercise ODYSSEE SWORD took place in the NATO Training Area Bergen, Germany.

ODYSSEE SWORD provided a great opportunity to train (NLD) 11th Air Manoeuvre Brigade, (NLD) 13th Mechanised Brigade, (NLD) 43rd Mechanised Brigade and some of their subordinate units. 1 (GE/NL) Corps, supported by the (ITA) Mountain Brigade Taurinense, the 361st US Civil Affairs Brigade and civilian and military experts, provided a challenging scenario that was nearly as complex as real missions of NATO today.

In total approximately 2,000 participants from twelve nations sharpened their expertise in a complex crisis management and security enforcement scenario. Furthermore we saw experiments with the Joint Logistics Support Group for the first time and we succeeded in implementing the Comprehensive Approach with the Inter Agency Centre.
