Before you are 'officially' living in Germany some paperwork has to be done. Here is a quick primer on what you will need.

Because of the NATO Status of Forces Agreement you, as a member of the HQ, and your family do not need a residence permit. But you can register yourself  and your family at the registry office on a voluntary basis. This may facilitate your daily life, e.g. the enrolment at one of the schools in Münster or at sports clubs, etc.
